Laboratory Technician
Location: Brecksville, OH
Pay: $18.54/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join a leading manufacturing laboratory in Brecksville, Ohio. This role is responsible for supporting laboratory operations by preparing samples, conducting routine testing, documenting results, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, follows procedures carefully, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, label, and process laboratory samples.
- Perform routine laboratory testing following established procedures and SOPs.
- Accurately document test results and maintain detailed laboratory records.
- Operate, clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and report testing discrepancies or equipment issues.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel and production teams to support daily operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate degree in Chemistry, Biology, or another scientific field is a plus.
- Previous laboratory, manufacturing, quality control, or production experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written procedures and work independently.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial laboratory.
- Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Experience with sample preparation, testing, and data entry.
