We are currently recruiting Registered Nurses (RN) for full-time positions at two adult male correctional institutions in Columbia, South Carolina, one of which includes an infirmary and an inmate psychiatric care facility. Your expertise and leadership will help ensure high-quality care to those in need.
These competitive positions offer premium pay and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Successful candidates must be able to complete onboarding requirements and begin their assignment in accordance with the specified schedule.
Job Details:
- Full-time schedule, 36 hours (three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend)
- 12-hour night shift (6:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) positions are available
- The night shifts for the inmate psychiatric care facility also rotate to the infirmary
- Mandatory 3-week onboarding for orientation and training, first shift (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.), Monday through Friday, at the beginning of the assignment
Registered Nurse (RN) License and Credentials Requirements:
- Current South Carolina or compact RN license
- Current CPR Certification, BLS
- Current PPD
- Medical-Surgical care is a requirement for the medical and psychiatric care facilities
Primary Job Duties:
- Conduct health assessments and sick call for inmates
- Administer medications and provide treatments
- Provide health education and counseling
- Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals
- Supervise nursing assistants
