Job Overview
Position Summary
The Welder is responsible for fabricating and welding metal components used in the manufacturing of Roto-Mix equipment. This position performs MIG welding, reads blueprints, assembles components, and ensures all finished products meet company quality and safety standards. The Welder works closely with production team members to manufacture durable, high-quality agricultural equipment while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on steel components according to engineering drawings and production specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, work orders, and fabrication drawings.
- Assemble fabricated parts using fixtures, jigs, and measuring equipment.
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
- Operate welding equipment, grinders, saws, plasma cutters, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
- Measure, cut, fit, and position materials for proper assembly.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance and report equipment issues to supervision.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas following 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
- Assist other production departments as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Proficient in MIG welding; TIG welding experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills.
- Ability to accurately use measuring tools, including tape measures, squares, levels, and calipers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Technical school training in welding, metal fabrication, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of one (1) year of welding or fabrication experience preferred.
- AWS welding certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience in agricultural or heavy equipment manufacturing is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift more with assistance.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, and twisting.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, and wrist movements.
- Ability to work in hot, noisy, and fast-paced manufacturing environments.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, and protective clothing.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and production facility.
- Regular exposure to welding fumes, sparks, heat, dust, and loud machinery.
- Frequent use of welding equipment, overhead cranes, and powered industrial equipment.
- Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to meet production schedules.

Pay: $22.57 - $24.47 per hour
