Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
- Support patients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to ensure safety and well-being
- Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality and compliance
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking
- Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community outings
- Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and updates in compliance with healthcare standards
- Support patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, autism, or other neurodevelopmental disorders through specialized memory care and behavioral support
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
- Communicate effectively with clients’ families and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care plans are followed
Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required
- Hands-on experience with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, or memory care highly valued
- Familiarity with manual handling equipment such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer methods essential
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders including autism or intellectual disabilities support preferred
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards in healthcare environments
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting with patient transfers or mobility support
- Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications in caregiving or nursing are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families while providing compassionate care
- Home & community care experience that includes assisting with personal transportation and supporting long-term care needs is highly desirable
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

- Bed bound patients do not get out of the bed but require a bed bath, grooming, changing , rotating, changing bed linen, feeding, watching the patient and making sure he stays dry.
