We are a growing real estate and sports facility management company overseeing multiple commercial properties and recreational facilities throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. As our portfolio continues to expand, we're looking for an experienced HR / Staffing Manager to support our growing team.
This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HR compliance across multiple locations.
Position Summary
The HR / Staffing Manager will oversee the company's human resources and staffing functions, ensuring a smooth employee experience from recruitment through offboarding. This individual will partner closely with ownership and department managers to attract top talent, maintain compliance, administer benefits, and support employees throughout their employment.
ResponsibilitiesRecruiting & Staffing
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for positions across multiple facilities
- Create and post job advertisements on Indeed and other recruiting platforms
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews
- Coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Conduct reference and background checks
- Extend offers and manage the hiring process from start to finish
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for future hiring needs
Onboarding & Employee Administration
- Coordinate the onboarding process for all new hires
- Prepare offer letters, employment documents, and new hire paperwork
- Ensure all required employment documentation is completed and maintained
- Manage employee offboarding and exit interviews
- Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records
Human Resources
- Serve as the primary HR contact for employee questions and concerns
- Develop and maintain HR policies and employee handbook updates
- Handle employee relations matters professionally and confidentially
- Assist management with performance documentation and disciplinary processes
- Coordinate workers' compensation and unemployment claims as needed
Benefits & Payroll
- Coordinate payroll with finance and operations
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, and leave programs
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment and questions
- Maintain employee records related to compensation and benefits
Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
- Maintain I-9s and other required employment records
- Keep HR policies and procedures current with changing regulations
- Support audits and maintain HR documentation as required
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Human Resources or Staffing experience
- Experience managing full-cycle recruiting
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Primepoint, Gusto, ADP, or similar)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus
