About the Position
Chip Cookies is looking for an outgoing, motivated, and dependable Field Marketing & Community Partnerships Representative to help grow our presence in the local community.
This is not a remote marketing position.
The majority of your time will be spent out in the community visiting businesses, schools, offices, apartment communities, healthcare offices, gyms, organizations, and events to introduce people to Chip Cookies and create new business opportunities.
You will essentially serve as the local face of Chip Cookies—building relationships, dropping off samples, generating catering and large-order opportunities, developing community partnerships, and helping turn local awareness into actual sales.
This is a great part-time opportunity for someone who is personable, independent, organized, and comfortable walking into a business and starting a conversation.
IMPORTANT: Transportation Requirement
Because this is a field-based position, reliable personal transportation is required.
Applicants must have:
- A reliable personal vehicle available for use during working hours
- A valid driver's license
- Current automobile insurance
- The ability to independently travel to businesses, organizations, events, and other locations throughout the local area
Approved business mileage will be reimbursed separately from hourly compensation.
This position cannot be performed from home.
What You'll DoLocal Business Outreach
Visit local businesses and organizations to introduce Chip Cookies and develop potential customer relationships.
Potential outreach locations may include:
- Corporate offices
- Medical and dental offices
- Hospitals and healthcare organizations
- Real estate offices
- Car dealerships
- Apartment communities
- Schools
- Gyms and fitness studios
- Salons and spas
- Local retailers
- Churches and community organizations
- Youth sports organizations
- Other local employers and businesses
You'll introduce the brand, speak with decision-makers, distribute approved samples and marketing materials, and identify opportunities for future orders.
Catering & Large-Order Sales
Help generate new business for:
- Office meetings
- Employee appreciation
- Corporate events
- Client gifts
- Birthdays
- Weddings
- School events
- Sports teams
- Conferences
- Holiday gifting
- Parties
- Other large or recurring orders
You will follow up with prospective customers and help turn initial introductions into actual orders.
Community Partnerships
Develop relationships with organizations throughout the community, including:
- Schools and PTAs
- Youth sports teams
- Churches
- Nonprofits
- Apartment communities
- Local businesses
- Gyms
- Healthcare organizations
- Community groups
Look for opportunities involving cross-promotions, partnerships, sponsorships, fundraisers, events, and other ways Chip Cookies can become more involved in the community.
Fundraising
Introduce Chip Cookies fundraising opportunities to schools, teams, clubs, nonprofits, and community organizations.
Help develop and maintain relationships with organizations that could become repeat fundraising partners.
Sampling & Grassroots Marketing
Strategically distribute cookies and samples to prospective customers and organizations.
Rather than simply handing out samples, the goal is to use sampling as a way to begin a relationship and create future catering, gifting, fundraising, or large-order opportunities.
Events
Help identify worthwhile local events where Chip Cookies should have a presence.
This may include:
- School events
- Community festivals
- Sporting events
- Networking events
- Business events
- Grand openings
- Fundraisers
- Local fairs and markets
- Other community gatherings
Occasional evening or weekend availability may be requested for selected events.
Relationship Building & Follow-Up
Maintain relationships with businesses and organizations after the initial introduction.
Keep organized records of:
- Businesses contacted
- Decision-makers spoken with
- Samples distributed
- Potential opportunities
- Follow-up dates
- Partnerships discussed
- Orders generated
Consistent follow-up is an important part of this role.
What Success Looks Like
This is a results-oriented marketing position.
We aren't looking for someone to simply drive around and hand out cookies. We want someone who enjoys meeting people and can turn those conversations into lasting relationships and new business.
Success may be measured through:
- New businesses and organizations contacted
- Quality conversations with decision-makers
- Follow-ups completed
- New catering and corporate customers
- Community partnerships established
- Fundraisers scheduled
- Events secured
- Large orders generated
- Repeat customers developed
- Revenue generated through local marketing efforts
Schedule
We expect this position to average approximately 8–12 hours per week.
The schedule offers some flexibility, but most outreach will occur during normal business hours when businesses and decision-makers are available.
A typical week may include:
- Two weekday field-marketing blocks, generally between approximately 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM
- Additional flexible hours for follow-ups, appointments, sampling opportunities, partnerships, or events
- Occasional evening or weekend community events
Weekly schedules and priorities will be coordinated with management.
This is not a work-from-home position. Administrative work associated with the position will generally be performed at the Chip Cookies store.

Compensation
$22.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Approved business mileage is reimbursed separately.
This position will begin as a part-time role with approximately 8–12 hours per week.
There may be opportunities for increased hours, compensation, responsibility, and performance incentives as the position develops and based on results.
