Essential Job Duties:
- Develop testing, monitoring and calibration procedures for electrical equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and make recommendations to improve reliability and reduce cost.
- Provide technical support to production and maintenance organizations to evaluate and resolve maintenance problems.
- Provide technical resources to support electrical maintenance efforts for troubleshooting assistance and support projects to deal with identified equipment.
- Lead and support electrical incident investigation with root cause analysis.
- Manage the identification, development, and implementation of new electrical power generation and maintenance PM programs.
- Review facility electrical maintenance activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to all specifications, codes, and standards (Mechanical Integrity).
- Assist in planning, procurement, scheduling, and supervising activities related to major outages/turnarounds.
- Prepare and justify cost estimates for plant electrical improvements and replacement of worn-out equipment in compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
- Monitor the facility's electrical operations and performance and facilitate the development of programs for improvement.
- Manage the Maintenance Electrical capital projects.
- Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority.
- Serve as the Convent Plant Electric Motor Steward.
- Provide plant interface with Corporate Electrical Steward to ensure compliance with corporate directives and Guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with specialized knowledge of electrical power and maintenance.
- 5+ years maintenance experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NFPA 70)
- Knowledge of the Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace (NFPA 70E)
- Experience with electrical equipment up to the 230KV level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English.
- Must be able to respond to off hour emergencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills include the ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.
