Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and quality.
- Follow recipes and portion controls to ensure accurate meal preparation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist with menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and seasonal specials.
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
- Support catering events by preparing large quantities of dishes with precision.
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar kitchen role within a restaurant or food industry setting.
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
- Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers.
