Position Summary:
The Service Advisor serves as the primary liaison between customers and the repair shop. This role is responsible for understanding customer concerns, scheduling service appointments, communicating repair recommendations, and ensuring each customer has a smooth, transparent, and professional experience from drop-off to pick-up. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about automotive services, highly organized, and skilled in customer communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and courteously upon arrival.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and document vehicle symptoms accurately.
- Prepare detailed repair orders and work with technicians to identify necessary services or repairs.
- Communicate repair estimates, service recommendations, and completion times clearly and professionally.
- Obtain customer authorization for services and ensure all work is completed to satisfaction.
- Review completed work orders with customers and explain repairs performed.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, vehicle histories, and payments.
- Promote additional services and preventative maintenance based on manufacturer recommendations.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns calmly and resolve issues effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized service area and uphold the company’s professional image.
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Minimum 1 year of customer service or automotive industry experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive repair or dealership setting.
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance schedules, and repair terminology.
- ASE Service Consultant (C1) certification or similar credential.
- Bilingual skills a plus (English/Spanish/Arabic).
- Proficiency with computers and service management software (e.g., Mitchell1, RO Writer, Shop-Ware, etc.).
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
- Frequent interaction with customers, technicians, and vendors.
- Occasional exposure to vehicle fumes, noise, and shop conditions.
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday (9:00am-6:00pm)

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
