As a member of the Church Headquarters-based Interfaith Relations team and under the direction of the Director of Interfaith Relations, this position serves as a key liaison in building and maintaining relationships with faith leaders, religious communities, and Church Areas. The Manager will work strategically to identify and engage with key leaders and influencers of other faiths, supporting the organization's broader interfaith initiatives and community outreach efforts. This role encompasses both relationship-building responsibilities and event management, including support for large-scale events such as temple open houses, special guest tours, and high-level interfaith initiatives in partnership with faith-based organizations and civil society groups. This role may also entail representing the Church at interfaith conferences and forums and providing support to senior Church leaders as assigned.
Relationship Management & Engagement
Create, manage, and maintain relationships with diverse faith leaders and religious communities.
Represent the Church with dignity and professionalism among the religious community and leaders in meetings and conferences.
Strategic Planning & Advising
Strategically identify leaders and influencers of other faiths and propose engagement plans.
Support area presidencies and collaborate with area communication staff on interfaith initiatives as assigned.
Event Planning & Execution
Organize and lead interfaith and opinion leader tours of key Church facilities including Welfare Square, the Humanitarian Center, Bishops Central Storehouse, and Temple Square.
Support attendance of faith leaders at significant gatherings including General Conference, Christmas Concerts, Luz de las Naciones, etc.
Assist with outreach and hosting efforts for large-scale events such as temple open houses and special guest tours.
Administrative & Support Functions
Support senior church leaders in their participation at conferences and interfaith gatherings both in the United States and internationally.
Participate in regular meetings with Area Relations and Area Communication staff as assigned.
Coordinate closely with the Church Hosting office on tours and events.
Manage and coordinate numerous tasks and assignments concurrently.
