American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an ICU position requiring telemetry experience (PCU or greater), working night shifts at a mixed medical/surgical ICU in Manchester, NH.

Mixed medical and surgical ICU in a hospital setting

20-bed ICU unit located on Floor C

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

13-week contract

Patient ratios vary based on acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery and critical ICU/device patients 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown assignments 1:3-4

Equipment used includes IV pumps, telemetry monitors, Hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), bladder scanner, Bair Hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser (post cardiac surgery), ventilator, high-flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP

EMR: Sunrise (experience not specified as required)

Every third weekend required; no on-call responsibilities

Floating to Progressive Care unit required

Active NH or Compact RN license required and must be in hand prior to consideration

Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start)

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for ICU RNs
-
Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in the ICU specialty
-
Telemetry experience required; PCU-level experience or higher strongly preferred
-
US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted

Professional reference required (two references required if candidate is from Florida or Missouri)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
-
Typical procedures include pericardiocentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, TTE, and transvenous pacing wire insertion

Unit staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8–10 RNs, 1–3 LNAs, and a sitter PRN per shift

Preferred candidates will have experience with critical drips, ventilators, and prior ICU experience

An organized yet adaptable personality is the best fit for this unit

No dress code/scrub color specified

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
