Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and preparation methods
- Ensure proper food handling practices are followed to meet safety standards in production
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Follow recipe adherence meticulously to maintain consistency across all dishes
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly preferred
- Demonstrated culinary experience with strong knife skills and slicing techniques
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments
- Experience operating various kitchen equipment with confidence and safety awareness
- Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Exposure to menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry best practices is advantageous
