Why This Role Matters
In a close-knit community like Culpeper, a job is so much more than a paycheck—it is dignity, connection, and purpose. At Omega Health Services, we believe every individual has talents the local workforce needs.
We are seeking a Career Advocate who is part coach, part strategist, and 100% champion for our clients. If you want a career where you aren't stuck behind a desk, but out in the community actively changing lives, this is your invitation.
Your Mission: How You’ll Make an Impact
As a Career Advocate, you are the bridge between untapped talent and local businesses. On any given day, you will:
- Blueprint Success: Sit down with clients—including veterans and individuals with disabilities—to map out their unique strengths and design a personalized career "Action Plan."
- Open Doors: Guide clients through the entire job cycle, from resume writing and interview prep to onboarding and long-term workplace integration.
- Solve Puzzles: Identify and advocate for the right tools (such as assistive technology or task modifications) to set your clients up for peak performance.
- Consult with Local Businesses: Educate and partner with Culpeper employers, helping them discover the massive value of building diverse, inclusive teams.
The Essentials (What You Bring)
We value drive, empathy, and lived experience over rigid degree requirements. To be successful in this role, you need:
- A Flexible Educational/Work Background: * A Bachelor’s degree, OR * An Associate’s degree + 1 year of relevant experience, OR * A High School Diploma/GED + 2 years of relevant work or life experience.
- Heart: A genuine passion for serving veterans and individuals with diverse abilities.
- Communication Skills: The ability to connect authentically with a client in the morning and pitch to a local business owner in the afternoon.
- Mobility: A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (we fully reimburse your mileage!).
The Omega Edge (What We Offer You)
We believe in taking care of the people who take care of our community.
- Freedom & Flexibility: Enjoy a field-based schedule that gives you the autonomy to manage your own day outside of a traditional office box.
- Paid Professional Growth: We pay for your path. Access company-sponsored scholarships, professional development, and top-tier industry certifications (ACRE, CESP, WIP-C).
- Comprehensive Wellness: Competitive compensation, monthly COMPT stipends for your lifestyle needs, and access to the SmartDollar financial wellness program.
- Full Benefits Package: Health & Dental insurance, Life insurance, Long-Term Disability, and "Earn-as-you-go" Paid Time Off (PTO) + Paid Holidays.
- Tech & Travel Provided: We supply your tablet and all necessary software, alongside full mileage and expense reimbursement.
