Kennel Assistant
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Kennel Assistant. As a Kennel Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing daily care, safety, and comfort for dogs in our daycare and boarding facility. This is an excellent opportunity for animal lovers looking to gain hands-on experience in a fun, fast-paced environment. Previous experience is a plus but not a requirement. Dog training experince Is also a plus. THIS IS NOT JUST SIT AND PLAY WITH DOGS ALL DAY!
Responsibilities
- Safely handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments
- Assist with daily care including feeding, watering, and administering medications
- Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and common spaces to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Maintain boarding kennels to ensure dogs are comfortable and well cared for
- Provide friendly, professional customer interactions with pet parents
- Support daily daycare and boarding operations as needed
Requirements & Skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Some experience required —background as a Kennel Tech is a plus, but will consider training the right individual
- Ability to handle dogs safely and confidently
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
