Manager in Training – Harley's Pottery Painting Studio
Harley's Pottery Painting Studio is seeking an experienced, dependable, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Manager in Training.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to be part of a growing small business. We are looking for an individual with previous leadership or supervisory experience who is interested in learning all aspects of operating a successful retail studio. For the right person, this position offers the opportunity to grow into a long-term leadership role as the business continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Lead by example while providing exceptional customer service.
- Open and close the studio and oversee daily operations.
- Support, coach, and motivate team members.
- Coordinate parties, classes, and special events.
- Handle customer concerns with professionalism and sound judgment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting studio.
- Assist with merchandising, inventory, and studio operations.
- Capture high-quality photos and videos of customers, events, finished pottery, and new inventory for Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
- Create engaging social media content that showcases the studio and encourages customer engagement.
- Look for opportunities to improve operations and contribute new ideas.
Availability
This position requires dependable availability during our operating hours:
- Monday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- Tuesday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Thursday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Friday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Consistent evening and weekend availability is required. Applicants with limited availability are unlikely to be a good fit for this position.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory, assistant manager, key-holder, or leadership experience required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable making decisions and working independently.
- Experience creating content for Facebook and Instagram, including photos, videos, and short reels, is preferred.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
Compensation
- $16–$18 per hour, based on experience.
- Participation in our shared employee tip pool, providing additional earnings based on studio performance and shifts worked.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
