NYC Elite is seeking recreational instructors for our 3 locations : Upper East Side, Upper West Side, & Tribeca for the upcoming semester (September 2026-June 2027).
Our coaches are committed to positive reinforcement and high-quality instruction, creating an environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and excited to learn.
In this role, you may work across a variety of programs, including:
- Caregiver participation classes (9-36 months)
- Preschool gymnastics (3-4 years)
- Recreational (school-age) classes (5-12 years)
- Camps
- Birthday parties
- Private lessons
NYC Elite coaches are expected to manage time effectively, maintain strong class flow, and keep students engaged, while also providing individualized attention to support each child’s development.
We are looking for coaches who are :
- Positive, energetic, and reliable
- Adept in strong class and time management skills
- Able to balance encouragement with structure and discipline
- Passionate about working with children and building relationships with families
Availability (September 2026-June 2027)
We are looking for candidates available during peak hours & weekends :
- Weekdays: 3:30–6:30 PM (recreational) 4:00–8:30 PM (team)
- Weekends: 9:30 AM–12:30 PM (classes) 1:00–7:30 PM (parties)
Responsibilities :
- Plan, prepare, and lead classes or team practices
- Coach and develop athletes at various skill levels
- Provide clear, constructive feedback in a positive manner
- Maintain a safe and structured training environment
- Commit to the full semester (September through June)
- Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers
