Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems, including powertrain, electrical, suspension, and transmission.
- Repair and maintain vehicles by replacing or repairing parts such as engines, transmissions, suspension components, and electrical wiring systems.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to accurately troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance procedures including oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and tire rotations to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs, welding, and assembly tasks while adhering to safety standards.
- Diagnose complex issues related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and calibrate sensors for optimal functionality.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and familiarity with interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain, vehicle suspension system repair, transmissions, diesel engine repair, and automotive electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance procedures such as alignments, transmission repairs, and system diagnostics.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive repair machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong understanding of automotive service standards with experience working on GM vehicles or similar brands preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
- Valid certification or training in automotive repair; ASE certification is a plus but not mandatory.
