Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all aspects of daily coffee shop operations, including opening, closing, and shift management
- Train, develop, and motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service and uphold food safety standards
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring quality control in coffee brewing, food handling, and presentation
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, cash handling, and sales reporting
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety protocols across all kitchen and service areas
- Monitor financial performance through profit and loss analysis, budgeting, and cost control measures
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on food production, catering requests, and special event setups such as banquets or hospitality functions
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels
- Conduct staff interviews, training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster a strong team environment
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a focus on coffee shops or casual dining environments
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety management
- Skilled in managing POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales processing and reporting
- Excellent team leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff training & development
- Knowledge of inventory control practices to optimize stock levels and reduce waste
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly yet professional demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform cash handling duties confidently
- Familiarity with managing hospitality teams in diverse settings such as hotel or restaurant environments
- Experience in managing budgets, analyzing profit & loss statements, and implementing cost-saving strategies
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee shift management efficiently
- Culinary experience or barista expertise is highly desirable for maintaining high-quality beverage offerings
- Effective communication skills for interviewing candidates and coordinating with team members
