Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate & dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Home Plus team. In this role, you will provide essential direct patient care. Your approach & attention to detail will create a positive environment where residents feel valued & supported.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote independence and comfort.
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration, accurately documenting findings.
- Support medical teams by preparing patients for procedures, assisting with basic medical tasks such as catheter care/phlebotomy when trained.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols.
- Practice safe manual handling practices during patient transfers with equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, & staff to relay patient needs/updates clearly.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation/electronic health records.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program.
- At least 2 years of experience working in diverse healthcare environments including long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or home care settings.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, patient care standards relevant to geriatrics, pediatrics, ICU or emergency medicine settings.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper techniques; experience with manual handling equipment like Hoyer lifts is preferred.
- Strong caregiver communication skills with a focus on compassionate patient service across all conditions.
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
