Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface cleaning to ensure a spotless environment.
- Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures to maintain hygiene standards in all areas.
- Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items efficiently.
- Use cleaning equipment and detergents safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and storage after use.
- Clean floors using appropriate methods such as sweeping, mopping, or carpet cleaning to keep surfaces safe and attractive.
- Manage outdoor work responsibilities including outdoor surface cleaning and light landscaping tasks when required.
- Communicate professionally with clients to understand their specific needs and provide excellent customer service while maintaining discretion and respect for privacy.
- Assist with housekeeping management tasks such as inventory control of cleaning supplies and scheduling routine cleaning activities.
- Practice manual handling techniques to lift heavy objects safely during cleaning tasks while adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Ensure all surfaces are cleaned thoroughly, paying attention to detail in high-touch areas for optimal sanitation.
Requirements
- Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services is preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures including the use of various cleaning detergents and equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks with efficiency.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively within scheduled timeframes.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
- Outdoor work experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability in different environments.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as carpet cleaning and floor polishing is desirable.
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is advantageous but not required.
- A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards and ensuring client satisfaction is essential.
