Job Summary
We are seeking a high-energy, results-driven Parts Manager to lead our Parts & Accessories team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will manage inventory operations, drive retail and service department sales, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. As a brand ambassador for Harley-Davidson, you will help riders turn their vision into reality—from performance upgrades to full custom builds.
Key ResponsibilitiesDepartment Leadership & Showroom Operations
- Lead, mentor, and schedule the Parts Department team (Associates, Stockers, and Inventory Specialists).
- Establish sales targets, track department KPIs, and train staff on product knowledge, upselling, and fitment expertise.
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and fully merchandised showroom floor according to Harley-Davidson brand standards.
- Support dealership open houses, sales promotions, and seasonal events to drive walk-in traffic and customer engagement.
Operations & Service Department Support
- Collaborate closely with the Service Department to ensure seamless parts procurement, timely job completion, and minimal technician downtime.
- Provide expert guidance on V-Twin engines, Screamin' Eagle performance components, ergonomics, audio, and custom aesthetic upgrades.
- Handle complex customer fitment inquiries and resolve service-related parts issues professionally.
Inventory Control & Supply Chain Management
- Manage inventory levels, ordering, stock replenishment, and cycle counts using Dealership Management Systems (DMS) like Lightspeed.
- Optimize inventory turnover and profit margins through strategic pricing and obsolete/aged inventory management.
- Manage vendor relationships, core returns, and return-to-vendor (RTV) processes.
- Oversee warehouse intake, shipping/receiving, and logistics for all OEM and aftermarket parts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 3+ years of parts department experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role (Powersports or Automotive industry required; Harley-Davidson dealership experience strongly preferred).
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of motorcycle systems, V-Twin fitment, performance packages, and aftermarket accessories.
- Software Skills: Proficiency with Dealership Management Systems (e.g., Lightspeed, CDK) and electronic parts catalogs (EPC).
- Licensing: Valid driver’s license required; Motorcycle Endorsement (Class M) preferred.
- Leadership: Strong team management, communication, inventory planning, and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the showroom and inventory storage for 8+ hours a day.
- Ability to safely lift, push, and carry parts boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Flexibility to work weekends, peak riding season hours, and special dealership events.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
