Job Overview
We are seeking an Aluminum TIG Welder to join our sheet metal fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for precisely welding thin aluminum parts (.090 thickness and below) for the aerospace industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding and some MIG welding on aluminum and stainless steel with precision, adhering to detailed blueprints and technical drawings in our air conditioned shop.
- Maintain strict compliance with American Welding Society (AWS) standards, ASME codes & standards, and safety regulations throughout all welding activities.
- Will be expected to learn and rotate in with Spot/Resistance welding.
Skills
- Ability to weld thin aluminum parts, .090 thickness and below.
- Knowledge of aluminum TIG and MIG welding specific to standards and applications.
- Strong attention to detail for quality control inspections and adherence to safety guidelines at all times.
We are looking for a welder for either 1st or 2nd shift.
1st shift is 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday - Friday with occasional overtime expected.
2nd shift is 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday - Friday with occasional overtime expected.
All candidates must successfully complete 520 hours of employment through a temporary staffing agency before permanent employment is offered.
Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
