Position Overview
The Marsh General Laborer will contribute on marshes by completing day to day tasks generated by the marsh managers and owners.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with all applications on marshes including herbicide, insecticide, fungicide, and fertilizer
-
Help with boom/tractor maintenance and repair

Assist with irrigation and irrigation maintenance
-
Be a part of frost watch during spring-summer months
-
Maintain daily communication between crew and marsh manager on daily tasks
-
Be an active member of the harvest crew
-
Work on on-going projects during down time and winter months
-
Contribute to sanding season during winter months
-
Weld/fabricate when needed

Be involved in detailed record keeping for all Gardner Properties (or property)

Attend certain schoolings/trainings when needed

Other tasks assigned by management
Requirements:
Desired Skills/Abilities:

Farming and mechanical experience preferred

Maintenance experience preferred
-
WPS training and Pesticide Applicator Training preferred

Motivated

Self-driven
-
Love for the outdoors
