Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early childhood development, literacy education, and social-emotional skills.
- Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment for children.
- Support children’s physical, cognitive, and emotional growth through tailored child development instruction and behavior management strategies.
- Foster positive relationships with children and communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child’s progress and needs.
- Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently.
- Plan and execute lesson plans that include hands-on activities, play-based learning, and developmental assessments aligned with preschool standards or Montessori methods as applicable.
Experience
- Prior classroom management experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with standardized testing procedures for early learners and assessment tools to monitor progress.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Previous experience in Montessori or preschool teaching environments is a plus.
- Commitment to child welfare practices, including understanding mandated reporting laws and promoting inclusive learning environments.
