Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning items for service.
- Support cooking activities by following recipes and instructions under supervision, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including counters, sinks, floors, and storage spaces.
- Handle food items safely during preparation and service in compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with meal assembly and catering support as needed for special events or large orders.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of meals.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of menu planning, food handling, and basic food safety practices.
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred.
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques.
- Background in the food industry or culinary experience is advantageous.
