Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Furniture Sales Associate to join our retail team. In this role, you will assist customers in selecting furniture pieces that meet their needs, provide exceptional customer service, and ensure a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, sales experience, and a passion for helping customers find the perfect home furnishings. Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve diverse clientele.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating furniture items within the store
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits of furniture pieces
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer preferences and needs
- Handle POS transactions, including cashiering and cash handling with accuracy
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking shelves and organizing back stock
- Engage in retail math to accurately process transactions and manage sales data
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors
- Supervise or assist in supervising sales floor activities as needed
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in furniture or home goods
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities are preferred
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and retail math principles
- Ability to perform product demos effectively and upsell products confidently
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Basic math skills for transactions and inventory management
- Supervising experience is a plus but not required; leadership qualities are valued
- Familiarity with grocery store or retail environments is beneficial but not mandatory
- Ability to work well in a team environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
Pay: $3,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
