Piepenbrock Packaging Technology USA is hiring a Regional Sales Manager for the Eastern U.S.
This is not a role for someone who waits for warm leads, hides behind email, or needs a large corporate machine around them.
This is for a proven sales hunter who can create opportunities, get in front of senior decision-makers, qualify hard, travel well, and build trust through long, complex sales cycles.
You must have prior success selling complex, high-value B2B solutions consultatively to owners, C-suite leaders, senior management, plant leadership, engineering, operations, procurement, and finance in a long-cycle, multi-stakeholder environment.
You have proven ability to prospect, cold call by phone, set new meetings from scratch, reach the top of an organization, and ask direct questions about budget, funding, timing, decision process, competition, urgency, and final authority.
You know how to sell value, not features. You can manage a 12–15 month project cycle without getting “happy ears.” You are willing to walk away when there is no real problem, no budget, no urgency, no access, or no path to a decision.
PPT USA is the North American subsidiary of LoeschPack and Hastamat. We represent premium German packaging technology for food, snack, confectionery, bakery, CPG, and consumer goods manufacturers.
We sell high-speed food packaging equipment and complete packaging line solutions, from buffering to cartoning, including primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. Our customers make serious capital equipment decisions, with average projects around $2 million.
Experience with capital equipment, packaging machinery, automation, food manufacturing, engineered solutions, trade shows, LinkedIn/social selling, CRM, or German/European equipment manufacturers is helpful but not required. Product and industry knowledge can be trained. Proven consultative selling ability cannot.
This role will fit you if you can work independently, use CRM consistently, manage your territory, and stay accountable to prospecting, pipeline, travel, and results.
This is a field-based, full-cycle, quota-carrying outside sales role covering the Eastern U.S. Preferred home bases include Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Charlotte, Raleigh, Atlanta, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Boston, Hartford, Providence, Buffalo, Rochester, Detroit, or another Eastern U.S. city with strong access to food, snack, bakery, confectionery, dairy, meat, cheese, CPG, or industrial manufacturing plants.
You must live within one hour of a major U.S. airport. 50% travel is required, including customer visits, trade shows, occasional customer entertainment, and some travel to Germany.
Compensation includes a $137,500 base salary plus uncapped commission. Realistic Year 1 OTE is $165,000+. As the territory develops and larger projects close, strong performers can build toward a $250,000+ long-term earning path.
