Administrative Professional and Paraprofessional Contract
Position Description:
The person in this position will be responsible for supervising kindergarten students during their lunch and recess (1.0 hour/day), and working with individuals or groups of students in Kindergarten (1.5 hours/day). The successful candidate will work 2.5 hours a day and have the chance to support the academic and social learning of students. Examples of duties include maintaining a safe, friendly and supportive lunchroom and playground; supervision of an entire classroom; small group work/support; and 1:1 student interaction and assessment.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a school environment
- Ability to make and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues
- Ability to multitask and supervise students in an environment that is highly engaging
- Flexibility and patience
- Ability to take direction
