Job Description: As a seasonal harvest member of our team, you will play a crucial role in transporting goods essential to our vineyard operations. From hauling grapes to delivering equipment, your contributions ensure seamless logistics that support our vineyards' success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned physical duties efficiently and safely.
- Maintain adherence to all safety standards and protocols.
- Load, secure, and unload materials as required.
- Undertake specialized tasks as directed, with potential on-the-job training.
- Operate heavy and light equipment based on job site needs.
- Transport equipment under supervision of site supervisors.
- Move tools, equipment, and materials according to area supervisor instructions.
- Follow detailed instructions and utilize maps effectively for route planning.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of trucks.
- Pick up goods, verify loads for accuracy, and deliver as instructed.
- Complete accurate paperwork related to deliveries and operations.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and comply with all safety procedures.
Driver Qualifications/Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
- Diligent attention to detail and alertness to maintain safety standards.
- Capability to receive and execute instructions effectively, and communicate well with team members.
- Valid Class A driver's license with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
- Double endorsement required.
- Clean driving record with no moving violations.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safe driving practices.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the day.
- Ability to pass random drug tests.
- Proven record of dependability and punctuality.
- No DUI/DWI convictions in the past seven years.
- Strong listening and verbal communication skills.
