Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods and equipment such as Hoyer lifts
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status by taking vital signs, recording medical information accurately in electronic health record (EHR) systems, and reporting changes to nursing staff
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other memory impairments, ensuring respectful and compassionate support
- Administer medications following home healthcare regulations and medical documentation protocols while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards
- Support patients during end-of-life care or hospice services by offering emotional comfort and physical assistance in a respectful manner
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, wound care, or basic life support (BLS) including CPR when necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and ensuring infection control standards are met
Qualifications
- Valid certification as a Nurse Aide (CNA) recognized by state licensing boards
- Proven experience working with geriatric patients or in long-term care facilities such as nursing homes or assisted living communities
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation and record keeping
- Knowledge of medical terminology, patient transfer methods, and medication administration procedures
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively in home healthcare or community care settings
