Micro Machine & Design is looking for a CNC Milling Machinist who enjoys solving challenges, working with modern equipment, and taking pride in producing exceptional work.
We're looking for someone with 3+ years of CNC milling experience, but we're also willing to invest in someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn.
Ideal candidates will have experience with:
- CNC Vertical Machining Centers
- Fanuc and/or Haas controls
- Machine setup, tooling, and work offsets
- Precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, comparators, etc.)
- Reading blueprints and understanding GD&T
- Basic shop mathematics
- Programming experience is a plus
What You'll Do
As a member of our machining team, you'll play an important role in producing high-quality precision components.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and machining instructions
- Build and modify fixtures and workholding as needed
- Make tool wear and offset adjustments to maintain tolerances as tight as ±.0005"
- Optimize feeds, speeds, and machining processes for quality and efficiency
- Perform first article and in-process inspections
- Maintain accurate job documentation
- Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Work closely with teammates to continuously improve quality and productivity
- Pitch in a help others with their work when necessary

Education & Experience
Preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of CNC machining experience
- Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
