Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to ensure optimal oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term health.
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Follow strict infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to safeguard patient and staff health.
Skills
- Proficiency with dental software systems like Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures to communicate effectively with team members.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable for working with young patients in a caring manner.
- Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while maintaining radiation safety standards.
- Excellent client communication skills to educate patients about dental care and address their concerns confidently.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare infection prevention practices.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.

Pay: $45.13 - $54.35 per hour
