Buckhoist Operator – 1st, 2nd & 3rd Shifts Available
We are seeking dependable, professional, and safety-focused Buckhoist Operators to join our construction team. Operators play a critical role in transporting personnel, tools, and materials safely and efficiently throughout active construction sites. This position requires individuals who can maintain a professional attitude while interacting with workers from diverse backgrounds and trades.
Available Shifts:
- 1st Shift (Day)
- 2nd Shift (Evening)
- 3rd Shift (Night)
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate construction buckhoists to transport personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections and complete required documentation.
- Monitor load capacities and ensure compliance with all safety regulations.
- Maintain constant awareness of site conditions and personnel safety.
- Communicate professionally with workers, supervisors, and site management.
- Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards immediately.
- Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area around the hoist.
Requirements:
- Previous buckhoist, elevator, heavy equipment, or construction experience preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
- Ability to work with people from all walks of life while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and attentive throughout the shift.
- No cell phone use while operating the buckhoist.
- Smoking is not permitted while operating the buckhoist or during assigned operational duties.
- Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and at varying heights.
- Must not be prone to motion sickness, vertigo, or fear of heights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment and follow directions.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must successfully complete a Concentra drug screening.
- Must complete required online video training prior to starting work.
- Must attend and successfully complete an in-person orientation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and remain alert for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Comfortable working on active construction sites with frequent movement of personnel and equipment.
