Host Home Provider – Haven View

Haven View, a leading provider of residential services for individuals with disabilities, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Host Home Providers to join our team. As a Host Home Provider, you will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for individuals with developmental disabilities in your own home. You will play a key role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by promoting independence, dignity, and respect.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and welcoming home environment for the client(s).
- Support clients with daily living activities (e.g., personal hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping, etc.).
- Assist with transportation to appointments, community activities, and recreational events.
- Foster independent living skills, personal growth, and social integration.
- Ensure that the client's care plan and goals are being met by monitoring progress and maintaining documentation.
- Maintain open communication with Haven View’s team, including regular check-ins with program managers and support staff.
- Act as an advocate for the client’s well-being and rights, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Attend training sessions and staff meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide care in a respectful and professional manner.
- Must be able to pass background checks, including criminal history and driving record.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- A comfortable, clean, and safe living environment in your home is essential.
