Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting baked goods, pastries, and other bakery items
- Package bakery products efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
- Prepare and assemble baked goods, including cake decorating and pastry finishing, ensuring visual appeal
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery display cases and work areas
- Follow food safety protocols during food handling, preparation, and packaging processes
- Restock shelves with fresh baked items and monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages
- Support food production activities such as baking, cooking, and catering setup when needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food handling or food industry settings preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided
- Familiarity with bakery operations including cake decorating, pastry preparation, or baking is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming environment
- Basic knife skills and knowledge of kitchen safety practices are advantageous
- Experience in food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques is desirable
- Prior restaurant or catering experience can enhance your ability to thrive in this fast-paced role
