Production Coordinator Role:
This role is critical in managing timelines, coordinating with vendors and factories, tracking production status, and ensuring products are delivered accurately and on schedule. Ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this position plays an integral role in supporting the production lifecycle by partnering with cross-functional teams and global manufacturing partners to ensure products move seamlessly from development handoff through final delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the production process from purchase order issuance through final delivery.
- Track production milestones, including PPS approvals, TOP samples, weekly work-in-progress (WIP) status, production timelines, and shipment schedules.
- Communicate and collaborate with factories, vendors, freight forwarders, and internal cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution and delivery.
- Issue, update, maintain purchase orders, production data, and accurate records in SAP (experience preferred).
- Coordinate UPC and trim allocation and ensure timely delivery to factories.
- Monitor production calendars, delivery deadlines, and potential risks, proactively identifying solutions to keep production on schedule.
- Ensure the accuracy of tech packs, bills of materials (BOMs), labeling, and all production-related documentation.
- Generate, update, analyze, and maintain production reports using Microsoft Excel and internal systems.
- Assist in resolving production, shipping, and logistics issues while supporting continuous process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, customer service, and shipping departments
Skills & Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in apparel production or production coordination
- Understanding of garment manufacturing and production workflows
- Experience coordinating with overseas factories and vendors is preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Working knowledge of logistics, shipping, and import processes
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working across teams
- High volume of email communication with vendors and suppliers
- Experience tracking items using a work-in-progress (WIP) report to maintain product organization and efficiency.
- Bilingual languages English and Cantonese (Preferred)
