REQUIREMENTS:
-
Previous experience not required – training and certification will be provided in-house
-
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for longer periods of time
-
Ability to work in the water for an extended period of time
-
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations

Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork

Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures

Lifeguard certification is required, must be obtained within 60 days of hiring (training and certification provided on-site or off-site)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide swim instruction based on the Blue Gems Swim School curriculum
-
Enforce safety rules and regulations to prevent accidents
-
Assess pre-lesson and post-lesson progress according to the swim level objectives provided, and complete required paperwork in a timely manner
-
Effectively communicate progress and feedback to students and their parents or guardians, ensure customer satisfaction
-
Inspect pool areas before and after each class for possible maintenance, cleanliness or damage issues. Report issues to management as appropriate

Place and remove lane lines, perform light cleaning duties around pool deck

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
