Applicants must have consistent early-morning availability. This role is designed for dependable early risers who can help prepare the restaurant for a successful day.
At Chick-fil-A Bartow Ave, we believe a successful day begins before the first guest walks through the door. Our Restaurant Openers play an important role in setting the restaurant up for excellence by preparing food, organizing inventory, completing cleaning tasks, and supporting the team before peak business begins.
This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, hardworking, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The right person takes pride in doing things the right way, even when working behind the scenes.
The Restaurant Opener is responsible for helping prepare the restaurant for daily operations. This includes kitchen prep, cleaning responsibilities, raw chicken prep, bulk produce prep, biscuit and egg prep, truck and inventory support, and invoice checking.
Restaurant Openers must work with urgency, cleanliness, accuracy, and attention to detail. This role helps ensure the restaurant is clean, stocked, organized, and ready to serve guests with excellence.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age for this role due to essential job duties involving commercial kitchen equipment, raw poultry preparation, hot food preparation areas, equipment cleaning, inventory handling, and other tasks restricted for minors under applicable child labor laws.
Restaurant Openers may be responsible for:

Arriving on time and ready to begin work at 5:30 AM.

Completing assigned opening tasks to prepare the restaurant for the day.

Preparing raw chicken in accordance with food safety and restaurant standards.

Completing bulk produce prep with accuracy and cleanliness.

Preparing biscuits, eggs, and other breakfast-related items.

Supporting kitchen setup before the restaurant opens.

Completing cleaning tasks in kitchen, prep, storage, and operational areas.

Washing, sanitizing, organizing, and restocking equipment and workspaces.

Putting away truck deliveries and inventory.
-
Checking deliveries against invoices for accuracy.
-
Notifying leadership of missing, damaged, or incorrect inventory items.

Rotating products using proper food safety and storage procedures.
-
Maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas.
-
Following all food safety, sanitation, and Chick-fil-A quality standards.

Supporting the Back-of-House team wherever needed.

Applicants should be able to:

Stand for extended periods of time.

Follow cleaning, sanitation, and storage standards.

Previous kitchen, prep, inventory, restaurant, or food service experience is helpful, but not required. We hire for character and train for skill.
All new hires begin with a 30-day introductory training and evaluation period. During this time, we evaluate attendance, punctuality, attitude, coachability, teamwork, cleanliness, food safety, speed, accuracy, and ability to meet restaurant standards.
Continued employment is based on successful completion of this introductory period, business needs, and compliance with all applicable laws.
