Overview
Bright Life Pathways is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to join our team as On-Call Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). This position is ideal for someone looking for flexible work while making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.
As an On-Call DSP, you will provide support when regular staff are unavailable, during vacations, and when additional service hours are needed. Services are provided in the community and may include recreational activities, skill-building, socialization, and support with independent living goals.
Duties
- Support individuals with activities of daily living such as hygiene, meal preparation, mobility, and household tasks as outlined in their service plans.
- Provide community integration support by accompanying individuals to appointments, recreational outings, volunteer work, and other community activities.
- Foster independence by encouraging skill development, choice-making, and self-advocacy.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment both in the home and during community outings.
- Drive individuals to and from locations using a personal vehicle, ensuring safety and timeliness.
- Complete daily progress notes, incident reports, and documentation in compliance with ODP and agency requirements.
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and participate in team meetings to review goals and service outcomes.
- Adhere to all Bright Life Pathways policies, as well as HIPAA and ODP guidelines and regulations.
Skills and Requirements
- A genuine commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities in living fulfilling, independent lives.
- Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to build trusting relationships with individuals and families.
- Basic knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities and person-centered support practices.
- Ability to follow individualized support plans and maintain accurate documentation.
- Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- High school diploma or GED required; prior experience in human services or direct support is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to complete all required training, including ODP orientation and annual certifications.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
