About the Founder:
The founder brings 15 years of successful experience in finance and business development, including work with multiple private-equity-backed ventures that achieved successful exits. He has built and scaled teams and recently closed an unrelated transaction in late 2025. He is now launching this pest control company from the ground up, applying a proven “buy-and-build” model: establish a strong local brand in Houston and grow both organically and through M&A.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking an experienced Responsible Certified Applicator to serve as our Applicator of Record and help build the company from day one. This is a rare opportunity for a skilled technician who wants greater involvement on the business side while continuing to deliver high-quality treatment services. The right person will help shape service standards and training programs, build a client base across commercial and residential markets, and be rewarded well beyond standard industry compensation for the growth they help drive.
Position Overview
The individual will serve as Responsible Certified Applicator, holding the license required for legal operation, and will report directly to the founder. This role is ideal for someone seeking more upside and greater influence over the technical side of the business than a typical technician position offers. For the first 12 months there is an expectation that this role will help founder aggressively solicit new business as well as train and recruit technicians.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Responsible Certified Applicator of Record for the company until Founder qualifies for license.
- Assist with licensing, compliance, and regulatory requirements
- Develop pest control service protocols and operating procedures for commercial and residential accounts
- Help identify, pursue, and close new accounts across both commercial and residential markets
- Perform inspections and treatments for new and existing accounts
- Oversee chemical handling and safety compliance
- Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation
- Provide input on training programs as additional technicians are hired
Compensation
