Overview
We are actively seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our healthcare team on an urgent basis. Duties
- Operate and maintain a range of ultrasound imaging equipment, including vascular, obstetric, gynecological, abdominal, and breast ultrasound machines.
- Conduct detailed ultrasound examinations such as prenatal ultrasounds, gynecological ultrasounds, vascular studies, and abdominal imaging.
- Apply aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and infection control during procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret imaging results accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of procedures within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
- Ensure images are properly stored in Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) for easy retrieval and review.
- Educate patients about procedures, address their concerns professionally, and provide compassionate care throughout the process.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations related to medical imaging.
- Assist in quality assurance processes by calibrating equipment and troubleshooting technical issues promptly.
- Demonstrate proficiency in anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, and diagnostic radiology standards to optimize image quality.
Experience
- Proven experience performing a wide range of ultrasound procedures including obstetric, gynecological, vascular, breast, and abdominal imaging.
- Strong familiarity with maternal-fetal medicine, women's health diagnostics, and reproductive patient care.
- Knowledge of echocardiography techniques for cardiac assessments is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to operate medical imaging equipment effectively within clinical settings.
- Experience with medical terminology relevant to sonography and diagnostic radiology.
- Skilled in vascular technology diagnostics and vascular ultrasound imaging techniques.
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Understanding of anatomy knowledge related to gynecology diagnostics and women's health.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to uphold aseptic technique standards while maintaining high-quality diagnostic output.
