Duties
- Safely load and unload goods using equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to accurately track inventory movement.
- Assist in order picking processes, including <PERSON> picker tasks, to prepare items for shipment or storage.
- Handle materials with care during shipping & receiving operations, ensuring proper stacking, labeling, and documentation.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks while maintaining proper ergonomic practices to prevent injury.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock in designated areas and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate loading schedules and optimize space utilization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or related roles with familiarity in materials handling.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks; certification preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to operate warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and other digital tools efficiently.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts.
- Prior warehouse supervisor experience or construction background is a plus but not required.
