Description:
- Responsible for installation, calibration, adjusting, repairing, and performing maintenance of non-critical medical equipment.

Maintains detailed, accurate report of all repairing and maintenance work performed

Performs preventative maintenance on equipment.

Assists outside vendors in their delivery of repair services; audits their service report to ensure proper documentation and verify charges.

Identifies malfunctioning parts and assemblies; determines the best source for acquiring the component(s) in consideration of financial and time constraints.

Maintains current knowledge of equipment, devices, instruments, and systems to determine if equipment is operating safely; notifies Director of safety issues/hazards; equipment performance issues, and service activities.

Attends technical service training/seminars; reviews technical literature, service manuals, trade publication and other biomedical service support documents to maintain current knowledge.

Assists in electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs and other maintenance duties.

Maintains HVAC diffuser and grille appearance; performs related cleaning and vacuuming.
- Maintains interior and exterior lighting and exit signs; changes bulbs as required.
- Repairs dry wall damages, paints walls, and performs related duties.

Properly disposes of needle boxes and other hazardous waste in accordance with established procedures.
- Performs monthly fire extinguisher inspections.

Responds to hospital emergencies including fire drills, internal disasters, weather conditions; performs on-call emergency services, as assigned.

Performs routine room inspections and completes required documentation.

Completes mowing and grounds keeping activities, as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:

High school graduate or equivalency.
-
Related general maintenance experience and/or demonstrated skills required
