We are looking for dedicated tutors to join our team. We are actively seeking proficient Math and Science Tutors with expertise in a broad range of subjects, including but not limited to Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Calculus. The selected candidate will play a vital role in guiding our students to reach their highest academic potential.
Responsibilities:
- Coach and guide students to meet their academic goals
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to provide personalized instruction and guidance in various subjects
- Provide homework help, exam preparation, and study strategies to help students achieve academic success
- Track and monitor student progress, identifying areas for improvement and adapting instruction to meet student needs
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, including student progress and feedback
- Motivating students who need that extra oomph
- Attend team meetings and other Tutoring Club events
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, subject-specific field, or currently enrolled in a degree program leading to a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university. (Required)
- Strong subject matter knowledge in relevant areas, such as Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, and/or Calculus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Superb interpersonal skills and creativity to engage students in a way they can understand.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
- Previous experience tutoring students is preferred. (Preferred)
