POSITION SUMMARY (about the role):
The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating and managing the lift truck to load and unload materials and move them to the storage areas on the yard or load the flatbed trailer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide customer service to both internal and external customers and owner operators.
- Inspect each forklift and mule before and after shift.
- Report any specific equipment issue on inspection sheet.
- Receive transload orders from drivers or brokers.
- Work load list in the order of arrival unless given direction by management.
- Inspect all cargo before and after any transload is performed.
- Report any cargo issues or anomalies when found.
- Transload shipments in a safe manner.
- Assist in keeping the yard clean from debris, trash, or other unsafe materials.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to perform work functions in an outdoor environment with extreme weather conditions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to follow up and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience to operate a forklift.
