We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Revit Designer to join our Water team. This position will lead the development and coordination of process mechanical BIM models and design documentation for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, industrial water facilities, and other complex municipal infrastructure.
This position will collaborate closely with our Water and Revit teams based throughout Washington and Oregon. The role may be based in or near one of our Parametrix offices, with flexibility for a hybrid or remote work arrangement based on team integration, project needs, and experience level.
- Lead process mechanical Revit model development and design documentation for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and related infrastructure.
- Develop detailed layouts for process equipment, piping systems, valves, supports, access platforms, and associated facility components based on engineering criteria and project requirements.
- Translate process diagrams, equipment information, calculations, sketches, markups, and engineering direction into coordinated 3D models and construction documents.
- Prepare and oversee the development of plans, sections, details, schedules, equipment layouts, piping layouts, and other process mechanical deliverables.
- Evaluate equipment placement and piping configurations for access, maintenance, operability, constructability, and coordination with facility requirements.
- Coordinate process mechanical systems with structural, civil, architectural, HVAC, plumbing, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines.
- Identify and resolve complex model conflicts, routing challenges, spatial constraints, and interdisciplinary coordination issues.
- Participate in design reviews and model coordination meetings, clearly communicating design issues, decisions, and recommended solutions.
- Establish or apply project-specific modeling strategies, content, families, workflows, and documentation standards.
- Perform quality reviews of models and drawings for completeness, consistency, and alignment with project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Revit designers and contribute to the continued development of BIM practices within the Water team.
- Eight or more years of progressively responsible Revit, BIM, mechanical design, or related design experience.
- Significant experience developing process mechanical models and construction documents for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, industrial facilities, or similarly complex infrastructure.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, including equipment and piping modeling, model coordination, schedules, families, views, and construction documentation.
- Strong understanding of process mechanical equipment layouts, piping systems, valves, supports, access requirements, and facility coordination.
- Ability to interpret process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment data, engineering sketches, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to independently organize and lead process mechanical model development for complex projects.
- Experience coordinating across structural, architectural, civil, HVAC, electrical, instrumentation, and other technical disciplines.
