Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Class B Driver and become a vital part of our building supply operation! In this role, you will operate various types of commercial trucks, including front loader, rear loader, forklifts, dump trucks, to efficiently stock and transport building supply materials. Your expertise in safe driving practices, mechanical knowledge, and adherence to traffic laws will ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties
- Safely operate Class B commercial trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, and dump trucks in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) and state transportation regulations
- Applicant Requirements
- Must be highly safety oriented
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test
- Must have current CDL class B
- Must have clean driving record (MVR)
- Must have basic front-end loader experience to load truck
- General knowledge of truck maintenance
- Must be able to pass pre-trip and road test
Physical Demands
- Required to reach with hands, arms, climb, or balance
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
Requirements
- Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, water, fluids and perform pre and post trip inspections
- Responsible for the condition of truck; keep truck clean and in good working order
- Inspect material to ensure it has been loaded correctly and is secure
- Driver must be able to identify materials to ensure correct product is being hauled
- Driver will show professionalism, approach others in a tactful manner, react well under pressure, treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position, accept responsibility for own actions, and follow through on commitments
- Driver must be DOT compliant at all time
- Driver must follow all MSHA and OSHA regulations
- Driver must follow shop rules, keep shop clean, swept, tools picked up, and spills cleaned up while working in shop
- Driver is responsible for securing overweight loads with proper straps, chains, signage, and permits before moving load
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
