Registered Nurse Emergency Department (ED)
Location: Lawton, Oklahoma
Pay Rate: $1700 To $1908/Week
Contract: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM), 36 Guaranteed Hours/Week
Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or Critical Care experience
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join a high-volume, 36-bed Level II Trauma Center serving approximately 59,000 patient visits annually. The ideal candidate is skilled in emergency assessment, triage, trauma care, and critical interventions while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care using evidence-based triage protocols.
Provide emergency care for medical, surgical, trauma, pediatric, psychiatric, stroke, STEMI, and critical care patients.
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and emergency treatments according to provider orders.
Monitor and operate cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing equipment.
Participate in trauma activations, Code Blue, Rapid Response, Stroke, and STEMI protocols.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, EMS personnel, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
Coordinate diagnostic testing, patient reassessment, discharge planning, and patient/family education.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Allscripts Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital quality standards.
Requirements
Active Oklahoma RN License or Compact RN License
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department or Critical Care experience
Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Strong skills in trauma care, cardiac emergencies, critical care, and emergency stabilization
Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency setting
Preferred Qualifications
TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
Previous experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center
