Position Overview:
The Commercial Garage Door Helper works alongside experienced technicians to install, maintain, and repair commercial garage doors, dock equipment, operators, and related systems. This is an entry-level role, perfect for someone who's good with their hands, ready to learn a trade, and looking to build a long-term career in the garage door industry.
Responsibilities:

Help lead technicians install, service, maintain, and repair commercial garage doors and equipment

Assist with repairs on springs, cables, tracks, rollers, operators, and hardware

Safely load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment for job sites

Handle basic tasks like drilling, cutting, fastening, and assembling parts under supervision

Keep job sites clean, organized, and safe

Follow all company safety rules and OSHA guidelines
-
Drive company vehicles and operate equipment safely when authorized

Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and supervisors

Take on other tasks and projects as needed
Requirements:

Must be at least 21 years old

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Able to pass a background check and drug screening

Reliable way to get to the shop and job sites

Mechanically inclined with a willingness to learn a skilled trade

Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts, elevated platforms)
-
Able to bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach, and stand frequently

Able to repeatedly use hands, wrists, and arms for installation and repair work
-
Able to lift up to 75 lbs. and climb ladders

Willing to work indoors and outdoors in different weather conditions
