JOB Performs food service duties of the Dietary division of the Skilled Nursing Facility under the supervision of the Food Service Supervisor. Provides quality dietary service in accordance with the objectives of the facility and in compliance with local, State and Federal regulations and guidelines. Position carries a Blood and Fluid Exposure Risk Level III.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from high school plus 2 months of experience in health care food service, and/or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of dish machine operation and cleaning chemicals.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions and instructions.
Ability to serve foods in accordance with the written menu for all regular, modified, and therapeutic diets.
Ability to adhere to mealtime schedules.
Ability to maintain and serve foods at the acceptable temperature standards.
Ability to understand, practice and maintain safety, sanitation, food handling and defined housekeeping standards.
Ability to operate food service/kitchen equipment necessary to perform functions of the position.
Ability to perform physically demanding functions of the position including climbing stairs to the 4th floor.
